" Tsubaki" means "JAPONICA" in English.
Our names are Yoshiko and Noriko, as we were born in Japan our bags and designs are influenced by our heritage and are handmade by us here in Sydney.

With our love and passion for design and creation of handbags, we began selling our range at market stall in Sydney in 2007. We've been focusing on selling our range online since year 2008.

In our past collections, we used the newly made Japanese patterned cotton fabrics. However, new collection of Tsubaki, all our bags and accessories are created through a careful selection of vintage kimono fabrics, most of them are various types of silks, rayons and synthetics. we give new life to beautiful vintage kimono.


Unlike a mass produced industry, each of our bags and accessories is unique and making each one special.
